Here's a Thought...

... Why doesn't Punch-out for the NES have a pause during rounds. The select button only does anything BETWEEN rounds, so what the frack...

And if you haven't guessed, I have WAY too much free time to think about that stuff... and I love every minute of it!!!

Just felt like posting up a new journal so... yeah.

-My birthday is this week, ans I'll be as old as the arcade version of Altered Beast, the movie Bettlejuice, and the NES version of Double Dragon... D@MN I'M OLD!!!!

-Arcade games that never got ported that I wish they did: Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Alien vs Predator(Capcom), Tough Turf, X-men, R-type Leo, Battletoads, and the list continues...

.... and that's about all I got to say 'bout that.

Ghosts 'n Goblins... 'n stuff

Wed Oct 7, 2009, 7:48 PM
Since its Holloween time and I'm an old school gammer, I wanted to say something about one of the most notoriously difficult game series ever... Ghosts 'n Goblins. I've only ever played the original and Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts, and I've never beat eather one because... THEY ARE SOME OF THE HARDEST GAMES THIS SIDE OF BATTLETOADS!!! Yet they are still fun to play, even if they make you play through the nightmare twice. The only problem I've ever had was with the momentem based jump mechanics, other than that I've got no problem with the games... Proving that its a game for REAL gamers. Getting through some RPG or beating some FPS is nothing compared to beating a game like this that requires the reflexes of a cat on crack to beat.

GOOD video game music

Mon Aug 24, 2009, 7:21 PM
In this journal me and invisible sidekick, captain Clutch Cargo: manimal jugglar, decided to rant about AWESOME videogame music... and by good I mean 8-bit and 16-bit games. Videogames had some of the most incredible tunes ever, even bad games had some steller music in some cases. Today's games have some good music though, but it ain't Contra's jungle theme or any tune from any original Mega Man game. So to anyone who reads this journal, we'd like to know some of your favorite old school game tunes.

5,000 Hits 'n Stuff

Fri Jul 17, 2009, 9:11 PM
Wanted to make a journal to thank everybody that bothered to come to my gallery. If you stopped by to thank me for favin' your work, or just droppin' by, thanks for coming to my carppy page.(And yes, I purpousley misspelled crappy.)

And in other news...

Beat 'em ups. They were everywhere back in the late 80s and early 90s, but now they're pushed aside for one-on-one fighters. I say they deserve a comeback. A good, old school, 16-bit comeback. I'd like to see the return of Double Dragon and Final Fight and Streets of Rage...

Thats all I have to say 'bout that.
